THE MIGHTY HOCKING

The mighty Hocking! The Hocking River flows 96 miles until it empties into the Ohio. A natural paradise awaits, Leatherback Turtles, Great Blue Heron, King Fishers, Small Mouth Bass and White Tail Deer all call the river home. In addition, several rockformations make canoeing the Hocking River a "MUST DO" while in the Hocking Hills.

Amish Camper Cabins

Sleep in a stylish cabin at night , while still getting the pristine outdoor experience of the Hocking Hills. Cabins come in two sizes, 10 by 10 or 10 by 16 and offer several different sleeping arrangments. Natural Rockbridge

Rockbridge's natural arch or bridge is more than 100 feet long and 10 to 20 feet wide, and gracefully arches 50 feet across a ravine. It is considered the largest natural bridge in Ohio. Only the Ladd Natural Bridge in Washington County rivals it in size. The Natural Rockbridge can be viewed by taking Trip #2, Trip #3, or Trip #4. The landmark is short two minute walk from the bank of the Hocking River.

Hocking Valley Canoe Livery and Fun Center is the ideal spot for company picnics, family reunions and group gatherings. Our combined two hundred acre facility provides amply room for any type of activity. The use of volleyball nets, picnic tables, shelter house, grills and hiking trails is free when you book with us. No group is to big or to small. We have sucessfully accommadated outings for up 600 people

Riverside Camping

Stake a spot on the mighty Hocking. HVCL offers unusually large campsites along the scenic river. At least six people can camp comfortably on each site.

Be the Family Hero!

Why not be the family hero since our prices are so affordable? Take the family (two adults and two kids) on a 5 mile canoe ride for less than $35. For an all day event do the Fun Package for $30 a person.

Go Kart Races

Fun for everyone: Go-Karts! Race in the areas only figure eight go-kart tracks. Kids karts and double karts are avialble.

Moonlight Tours

Simply put, Romantic Moonlight Tours with Hocking Valley Canoe Livery is a one of kind experience. Indulge your friends and family for in an evening of tranquility and delight. The Moonlight Tour is a two hour canoe ride that gives you the opportunity to experience the Hocking River in a whole new light: the Full Moon. Let your senses guide as you will find something surreal about the water, the trees and the surrounding wildlife. The trip starts at sunset and concludes at the canoe livery, where your car is parked. The fun continues all night, live entertainment is always scheduled following the paddle. Wine is provided during the bonfire along with an old fashioned marshmallow roast

Rafting Adventure

Nothing is more fun than relaxing with friends and family on a hot summer day. 2 man, 4 man and 6 man rafts are available.

Trip 3 Clear Creek to Livery

All day fun! The best section of the Hocking is available only through HVCL. Many customers agree that the upper section is the most scenic since it is full of rock formations and river tributaries. The Natural Rockbridge and sorrounding Nature Preserves add to the spectacluar scenary along this route. Canoeing from Creek Creek to Livery can easily be stretched into a leisurely all day paddle. Clear Creek to Livery is available until 10am on weekends and Noon on weekdays.

Trip 2 Natural Rockbridge to Livery

The most popular trip because it gives you the opportunity to visit the magnificent Natural Rockbridge! Our drop off is directly across the river from this natural wonder. The Natural Rockbridge is made off BlackHand Sandstone which had been carved out through centuries of erosion. The near by town of Rockbridge bears its name from the formation. Canoeing this trip is also popular since the old Hocking Canal can be viewed on route to our destination. Trip II is perfect for those more time to canoe the Hocking and enjoy the spectacular and undeveloped landscapes.
