Find Great Fun in The Hills!

Kayak the Scenic Hocking Hills
So you've decided to try kayaking? Great decision! Kayaking is one of the fastest growing recreational activities in America. A kayak is a small human powered boat. Kayaking is generally differentiated from canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler and the number of blades on the paddle. If you prefer to be on your own kayaking is a great way to have complete control of your own boat. In addition kayaks tend to be faster and more versatile than canoes. We also have tandem kayaks if you and your partner prefer to try a kayak together. One major difference between canoes and kayaks is that in a kayak you will sit closer to the water. Ok now that you are interested in kayaking, here comes the most important and exciting decision ....picking your kayak! Choose from Old Town, Jackson and We-no-nah sit-on-top, cock pit, and tandem kayaks. After you have picked your kayak comes another significant choice .......choosing the color! After all we want you to be comfortable and looking good during your time on the Hocking! Check out our available kayaks and request upon arrival. Kayaking can be enjoyed by everyone of all skill sets and ages. Contact a Hocking Valley Canoe Livery staff member to find the best kayak and trip for you and your group!
